Highland Lakes Elite is in Guinness World Records

Highland Lakes Elite is used to earning top scores for performances in competitive cheer. And recently the group has become part of another incredible milestone – an entry in the Guinness World Records.
When the Elite competed at the 2026 All-Star World Championships April 16-19 in Orlando, the members were part of an event that attracted 33,061 participants that made it the largest cheerleading competition in the world.
“We were thrilled with the addition of this Guiness record achievement to our program’s success,” co-owner and coach Haley Booe said. “Our participation in the All-Star World Championship motivates our team. The record helps us continue to build that momentum.”
Co-owner Alyssa Caracheo agreed.
“Our team grows and benefits from being involved in such a large-scale event with such a diverse and enthusiastic group from all over the world,” she said. “To be included in a record of this kind in our first year of doing business and competing is amazing – it feels unreal. We feel fortunate to share our teams’ achievements with the community because it sends the message that sacrifice and hard work leads to great accomplishments.”
The two noted their sport is catching the attention of individuals who may not be able to do more than appreciate and enjoy watching athletes participate.
“This title/record confirms that the public is taking our sport seriously,” Booe said. “Cheer is easily one of the most demanding and physically dangerous sports there is. After all, we are literally flipping our bodies and throwing people into the air. Pro cheer leagues are becoming more common now as well.”
Caracheo pointed out this achievement is shared by many.
“We appreciate all of our local supporters that helped make this possible,” she said. “Our progress reinforces that our team members can excel and achieve personal and team goals. We can’t wait to see what else our future holds.”
